Why is my vision blurry underwater?

The cause for the blurriness is refraction. Once submerged, combination of light and the curvature of the lenses can cause some to experience this blurriness due to the change in the speed of the light wave from a fast medium (air) to a slow medium (water). The simplest action to correct this would be to use a pair of goggles with a flatter lens. Eliminating the majority of the curvature of the lens lessens the visual effect of refraction in which case, you would eliminate the blurriness.
